Stevie Dietzel, DVM
Dr. Stevie Dietzel has been serving the Monticello community since 2013. Her education includes degrees from the University of Georgia in Biological Science and Spanish. She also graduated from the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis in Mixed Animals. During her time at UGA, she was awarded the Certificate of International Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dietzel's proficiency in Spanish and the completion of her veterinary medicine project (while in a foreign country) are only a few reasons why chosen to receive this prestigious award.
Dr. Dietzel is an active participant in Christian Veterinary Missions, which is an organization that uses veterinary medicine to share the love of Christ. Veterinarians, veterinary students and technicians go all over the world on mission trips to serve others and help their animals. Dr. Dietzel has traveled to the Navajo and Apache reservations several times for large and small animals. She has also traveled out of the country to the veterinary school in Trinidad, Bolivia to teach lectures, coordinate wetlabs and surgery days, and fellowship with the vet students and staff.
When Dr. Dietzel is not hard at work, you can find her enjoying family time with her husband, daughter and newborn son. They love to cook meals together, go camping and hiking in the great outdoors, or curl up and read books in their cozy home. They also share their home with 3 dogs, a cat, a few goats, and some chickens. She dreams of one day having enough land to add some horses and maybe even some cows to the family!
